Analysis of practice music video

In last weeks lesson we were split into two groups to go and have a practice at making a short music video. In my group I worked with Archie, Naveed and Niall. When we were put into the group we decided to pick the song I want to break free by QUEEN. The video had to include a variety of shots such as long shot, extreme close up, panning shot, low shot, high shot and over the shoulder shot. It also had to include lip syncing. We had a volunteer to play our main character and who would also lip sync to the song. We all had an equal part in the process of making the video, we all came up with ideas for the video and we had someone anchorage of filming the video. We had 3 scenes for our video which were a gym, a grassy outdoor area and a car. Before filming the video we practised our scenes around 3 times to get it as best as we could. We used an IPhone 7 to record the video as it has an extremely high quality camera on it and we used the software iMovies to put the footage together. I was very pleased with the final product of the video considering the short amount of time we had to film it and put it together. If i was to film it again and have another attempt i would most certainly include the whole song and make it more lengthy, I would also include both genders in my video to show equality and I would spend more time working on the sound quality of the video, so all you can hear is the music and not other sounds such as the car revving. Overall I am very happy with the final product and it has gave me a lot of confidence for when planning, organising and filming my final piece.
